ROCKY MOUNTAIN BUFFALO RANCH

This past weekend I spent some time with some incredible humans that made one of my dreams come true.

I woke up on Saturday at Leo's ranch in the Rocky Mountains. He had learned of my keen interest in his process with his buffalo and decided he was going to take one that afternoon. Not only was he going to allow me to observe and share her meat with me, but he also let me assist.

It may seem like a strange dream to have: to kill an animal, butcher it, and eat it, but for as long as I can remember, I vowed to myself that I would not eat an animal unless I could carry out the entire act.

 

So, the opportunity presented itself and I could not think a more special scenario. Thank you to Leo and my awesome crew, for such an unforgettable experience.
